International students from around the world benefit from a whole-child approach to learning at Lake Mary Preparatory School. We offer international students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to join our immersive Homestay Program, where they live with an American family that provides them with a comfortable and fun high school experience.
Students receive an exceptional academic foundation that will equip and empower them for the bright futures that they will encounter after secondary school. They are prepared to apply and get admitted to their top choice universities in the USA and around the world. Lake Mary Prep has 100% university acceptance.
In addition to rigorous core academic courses, students may choose from diverse offerings in STEM, fine and performing arts, athletics, and world languages. Our ultimate goal is to prepare students for a successful college experience and the ability to succeed in a highly competitive and ever-changing world.
International Student Admissions Process
The secondary school application process for international students entering Grades 9-12 includes the following steps:
- Submit all required documents
- Current Transcripts (original and translated for the past three years or past two years with the current in-progress courses)
English Proficiency Test - School can issue iTEP for English testing, or students can submit CEFR, TOEFL, Duolingo, IELTS, or OOPT for English proficiency testing
Lake Mary Prep requires an equivalent B2 English level
Two Letters of Recommendation (download form)
Copy of passport
Immunization record (original and translated)
- Health Physical (upon arrival and before starting school)
If offered admissions, an official acceptance letter and tuition agreement are issued to the family. Tuition payment and all applicable fees must be paid upon enrollment. International students must submit a signed enrollment contract and $5,000 USD deposit to be enrolled at Lake Mary Prep. Click here to see tuition and fees information.
I20’s for the student visa will be issued to students upon receipt of the signed tuition agreement and enrollment deposit.
