The middle school and high school dance courses focus on dance genres including cheer, pom, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical/contemporary. Students will explore and practice dance fundamentals such as technique, body alignment, strength, flexibility, and improvisation.
Dancers will utilize these skills and techniques to perform many choreographed pieces throughout the year. Dancers will have the opportunity to cheer and perform at many different events such as athletic functions, school events, pep rallies and dance recitals.
Dancer's also get the opportunity to create their own choreography that is performed at their final show at the end of the year. All students entering the class must audition and meet the minimum requirements for their grade level and are given the opportunity to be considered for the dance competition team.
